Introduction
This guide covers every achievement in Death, including story related unlocks, hidden levels, collectibles, and a couple of easily missed Easter eggs. Most achievements will come naturally as you play, but a few require specific actions or exploration.
Death Achievements
Welcome
Die for the first time.
Cheer up
Die 100 times.
Kenny
Die 500 times.
Groundhog Day
Die 1,000 times.
These are cumulative and will unlock over time as you play.
Portals & Traps
I hate portals
Use the portal.
It's a Trap!
Activate the trap.
These cannot be missed. The first portal appears in level 11, you'll unlock the achievement the moment you use it. The first trap appears in level 24, it unlocks when you activate it.
Monsters
First blood
Kill the first enemy.
Butcher
Kill 100 enemies.
Both are straightforward combat milestones.
Levels
Do not give up
Complete 10 levels.
Cheer up
Complete 20 levels.
Will do this
Complete 30 levels.
Almost hero
Complete 40 levels.
A Real Hero
Defeat the boss.
These are all story progression achievements and cannot be missed.
Hidden Levels
Great level design
Enter the hidden level of 24.
Dungeon in Dungeon
Enter the hidden level of 39.
These are missable. You'll need to find the secret entrances in levels 24 and 39.
Collectables & Donuts
Why do I need it?
Find the first collectable.
Collector
Collect all collectables.
Glutton
Collect all donuts.
Keep an eye out for these as you progress through the levels.
Others
Oh Sorry (Easter egg)
Kill an enemy in an unexpected way.
This one is missable. You need to stand near an enemy for a long time without moving, then fart and kill him. How do you fart? Just stay still.
Cake for you
View the credits.
This cannot be missed. You'll unlock it upon finishing the game, or you can view the credits from the beginning interface.
Final Notes
Most achievements will come naturally, but the hidden levels and the "Oh Sorry" Easter egg require deliberate action.
If you're aiming for 100% completion, make sure to explore thoroughly and check the original screenshots for the hidden level entrances.
