Start any map, make your way to the main door and open it. Head back to your truck and wait for roughly one minute. The leave button should become active and you're free to go!

Grab the Crucifix from your inventory and keep it in your hands. You do not need to hold it for a full 5 minutes straight, just make sure you are holding it whenever you are not doing anything else. It will unlock eventually.

Grab 3 friends and play together. If you do not have friends available, just join any public lobby with 3 other players and you will get it.

This one requires a bit of luck because you need to encounter the Child ghost. Once you materialize her, her unique abilities become active. She can create clones of herself that will follow you around. Whatever you do, do not look at them! They cannot attack you, but they are still creepy.

Start the game and take care of yourself. Go get a drink of water or something. The achievement will unlock on its own.

In the lobby, make sure you do not have any drones equipped. Start the game and if you cannot see anything, remember that there is a brightness setting in the options menu.

Just keep playing the game. It will unlock naturally over time.

Press the Space key on your keyboard 20 times. Simple as that.

Take the Fire item and hold it in your hand. Now run for 5 minutes straight while holding it. Yes, 5 whole minutes.

You need to encounter the Demon. Once materialized, his unique abilities become active. He can spawn burning pentagrams on the ground. If you step on them you will take damage. He can also move around the location and if he gets close he will attack you. You can survive about 2 hits from him. After that, use your healing items because if your HP drops to 40 percent or below, you will not be able to run anymore.

You need to farm 10,000 currency. Check the Bug Detective achievement section because I left a tutorial there that explains how to do it efficiently.

Start a game on the Abandoned House map, grab a Catcher, and throw it into the river. Easy.

Pick a map you are comfortable with and play on Normal difficulty. Items used to identify the ghost do not count toward this achievement. The same goes for kits, sanity pills, and similar items. The only things that count are items you use to weaken the ghost. Just follow your book step by step and you will be fine.

If you get caught by a ghost without a progress item or you are in the middle of something like closing all doors, remember that you can die once and then revive yourself by collecting wisps scattered around the location. This works even in solo play.

Reach level 30 or find someone who already has this level, and catch them all.

I did this on the City School map because of the long hallways. They let you spot ghosts early and react in time. Play on Insane difficulty and do not use adrenaline.

Here is the strategy. First, materialize the ghost so you know what items protect you. Then grab items like Plasma Absorber and Withering Light because they can recharge. Remember that on Insane mode, items only slow the ghost down. He will still chase you.

In the lobby, you can play basketball. Just score 100 points and you are good to go.

You need to find a way to leave the main area of the Abandoned House and discover a hidden spot to hide. Explore thoroughly.

Solve the mystery of the Child ghost. Good luck detective.

You need to be at least level 20 or play with someone who has that level to face The Krampus. Snowmen will start spawning after you manifest the ghost. When you hear a bell, a snowman appears for about 30 seconds. He is loud but small. Just do not get too close or you will take damage and alert the ghost.

Find and manifest The Gallows. Once you do, ropes will start spawning from the ceiling around the location. Walk into one and start moving your mouse from left to right. Do this 10 times.

Be aware that walking into a rope will make you drop your items unless you have Bracers equipped. Also, this might be bugged in multiplayer. When I played with a friend, only one of us got the achievement.

Start any map with the Pentagram modifier. Manifest a ghost and you will see that the pentagram is the last step in your to do list.

When you get there, you need to find 5 items for the ritual. These are a mask, a skull, a rose, a pocket watch, and a necklace. If you are having trouble finding them, you can buy them from the shop for 500 dollars each or buy the Cursed Object Detector for 250 dollars to help you find them.

To start the ritual, throw the dagger that you see in the middle of the pentagram inside the pentagram and run outside. Wait about a minute and repeat 2 more times. If you fail 3 times, you will need to complete the ritual properly.

The ghost will start screaming and items will appear in the corners of the pentagram. Place them there quickly. Stay away from the pentagram itself and watch out for the purple circles that spawn randomly under your feet. You can make 3 mistakes before the ghost escapes.

After weakening the ghost, grab your Catcher and find him. Make sure he is moving toward you, press G which is your drop keybind, and let him walk into it. Simple as that.

Reach level 30 or play with someone who has that level. You are hoping for a rank 4 ghost. Do not pick up flashlights and remember to unequip your drone and bracers. Good luck.

Start a game with the Sanity and Crisis modifiers. This way you only need 6 sanity pills instead of 12.

Check your sanity on the monitor in the truck. Whenever it drops below 100 percent, take a pill until you have used them all. Then drop your sanity to 0 percent and catch the ghost.

I managed this with the Demon. After weakening him, I kept running through him and lost 20 percent sanity each time. He could not kill me that way.

Start with the Pentagram and Collection of Ectoplasm modifiers. Manifest the ghost and work through your to do list until you reach the pentagram. Before doing it, you need to collect 3 ectoplasms with the Ectoplasm Collector.

Two ectoplasms appear randomly around the location and one drops from the ghost after weakening. Check your to do list to see what the ectoplasm reacts to and walk around with that item.

Once you start collecting an ectoplasm, the ghost will start moving toward you, so have protective items ready. If the ghost catches you, you will lose progress on that ectoplasm. If he catches you while you are collecting the one that dropped from him, it might teleport away, so listen carefully for where it lands.

If playing with friends, they can stand in front of you with protective items and get caught instead, letting you collect in peace. Do not use items that irritate the ghost.

Once you have all 3 ectoplasms, head back to the truck and press M1 on the catcher machine for each one. Then follow the pentagram ritual guide from the Practice Makes Perfect section.

I honestly do not know when or how I got this one. Here is what I can suggest. Wait by the door without holding any items. Wait for a ghost attack which will be indicated by you gasping, then wait for him to appear and leave the house. Do this 3 times.

If the ghost mood is hunting, he might do fake attacks where you gasp but he does not actually show up.

Die from rain by standing in it. I do not think rain can spawn on Normal mode, so play on Insane and hope for rain to start.

Despite what you might think, even maps like Police Station and City School are not that big. Do not be afraid to explore. You will find the ghost in no time.

If you completed Stand To The End and then caught the ghost, you should have this one. If not, just play on Normal mode with protective items. On Normal mode, you can make the ghost disappear with those items, so it should not be a problem.

This one is tricky. Start with these modifiers. Advanced Items, Collection of Ectoplasm, Sanity, Crisis, and Pentagram.

If you have not played with Advanced Items before, I recommend a few practice rounds first because it changes how some items work completely.

The Advanced Particle Counter works by sparkling. When it does, change radiation levels with LMB and check which one was highest and that is your answer.

The Advanced Thermometer measures ghost temperature. Purple means minus 5 to plus 5 degrees Celsius.

The Tablet gives you 3 options. If you press LMB and it scrapes with no drawing, choose a different question and repeat. Children's cubes on maps can give answers.

The Advanced EMF Sensor works similarly to the basic version, just with background electromagnetic field.

The Advanced Radio requires you to stay near the ghost or ask questions. You have 4 different radio waves which you might have to switch every few seconds until he answers on one of them.

The Advanced Voodoo Doll needs you to find its picture on a wall somewhere. Once you find it, pick up your doll, press the same button, drop it, and watch what happens.

The Advanced Ouija Board requires you to find the ghost's name on a wall using UV. It can be anywhere. Check every inch of every wall, behind shelves, behind bathtubs. Do not forget to crouch and check the lower parts.

The Crisis modifier makes you start without items and you have to buy everything yourself. You can buy fewer items than normal.

The Sanity modifier gives you sanity which you lose every time you get attacked by a ghost or when you get too close. You will know when your character shivers or you see sweat on screen. Sanity pills restore it.

For ectoplasms check The Perfect Catcher achievement and for the pentagram check Practice Makes Perfect.

You need to be level 30 or play with someone who has that level to face Black Death. Once you manifest him, he spawns plague swamps that deal damage. Burn them with Holy Fire by holding it and running around. Do this 20 times.

Burning a plague swamp has a chance to trigger a hunt. After burning them all, catch the ghost.

You need to be level 20 or play with someone who has that level to face the Clown. He spawns balloons that move around. Get too close and they explode for 10 percent damage with a chance to attach to your head for 8 seconds. To remove them, use Holy Fire.

For the achievement, keep balloons on your head for 2 minutes total. Weaken the ghost first because balloons will keep spawning even when he is weakened.

You need to be level 30 or play with someone who has that level to face the Mummy. He spawns scarabs and you need to step on 30 of them.

The Mummy only spawns 30 scarabs total. If playing with friends, it is better to take turns. Every time you step on a scarab, you will see a mark on your screen. If you get 6 marks, the Mummy removes 2 debuffs and spawns a giant scarab that can kill you.

These are based on total ghosts caught. The bronze statue requires catching 10 ghosts. The silver statue requires catching 25 ghosts. The gold statue requires catching 50 ghosts.

You need to complete all your tasks which require a total of 168 hours of playtime. Check your progress from the main menu.

You need to be level 10 or play with someone who has that level to face Kuchisake Onna. When she approaches you, she will ask "Am I beautiful?"

If you answer Yes, she will be happy and you can run away. If you answer No, she attacks. If you answer Let me think, she prepares to attack.

For the achievement, answer Yes 10 times in one game and then catch her. You can easily run from her after answering. Just make sure you are not holding throwable items.

Start with the Collection of Ectoplasm modifier. Take a Video Camera, Holy Fire, UV Flashlight or a drone with UV, and Ectoplasm Collector. Find an ectoplasm, start collecting it, and wait for your death.

You need to be level 30 or play with someone who has that level to face a rank 4 ghost. Play on Hard mode for easier completion. The High Rank modifier only spawns rank 3 and 4 ghosts if you are level 30 or higher.

Face The Jiangshi which is available from level 0. Use the Low Rank modifier to encounter him faster. He spawns music boxes near you. If you move while you can hear music, you take damage. Stand still and you are safe. Music plays for 8 seconds then cooldowns for 4 seconds. Press E to remove them.

Weaken him to catchable state, find a music box, and stand there for 10 minutes. I stood for 15 minutes just to be safe. After that, catch the ghost and the achievement is yours.

You need to be level 20 or play with someone who has that level to face the Wendigo. He can lock you in cages that narrow around you. Three skulls appear and you must remove all 3 to escape. Do this 20 times without dying.

Catch a ghost in under 5 minutes. Learn chain weakening. If a ghost hunts and your step uses an item that irritates him, remember that after using it he will stand for about 3 seconds. Use that window to chain multiple steps together.

You need to be level 10 or play with someone who has that level to face the Nun. Play on Church with Hard mode because she will do lots of prayers. Use Low Rank modifier to encounter her easier.

She locks you in place with Latin prayers. Find words on walls around the location and press them in order to escape. Watch out because she can lock you in prayer and start a hunt at the same time.

You need to be level 20 or play with someone who has that level to face the Ghoul. He spawns crows that caw 15 times. If you do not interact with them, the nearest player dies. Press E on the crow to stop it. Interact with 20 crows without dying. Weaken him first because he will keep spawning crows.

Play on Abandoned House with Hard mode because shadows spawn more often. Any ghost can spawn them. Four shadows appear and walk around. They are loud and visible as shadows. Get too close and they damage you.

Bring 4 kits at the start. Place 2 on one side of the house and 2 on the other. Keep 1 in your inventory. This should let you survive the first shadow spawn.

You need to be level 10 or play with someone who has that level to face the Puppet. He spawns puppets that run at you. Use Flashlight to aim at them because it stops and destroys them. Destroy 20 and the achievement pops.

Ghosts have moods and ages that come with special abilities. Ancient ghosts have a chance to reflect items you throw at them.

Play on a map with hallways or big rooms on Insane difficulty because ghosts use their abilities more often there. Do not use Crisis modifier.

Here is how to do it. Manifest any ghost and use the Ouija Board. If it moves randomly, the ghost is Ancient. Weaken him to catchable state. Take protective items along with throwable items. Throw items at him and hope he reflects them. It will bounce off. Do this 20 times in one game.

You might need around 2,000 currency for all the throwable items. Hope for ghosts that are not annoying to fight.

You need to be level 30 or play with someone who has that level to face Iron Maiden. She spawns signs on the ground. Step on them and you will get trapped and take damage. She also spawns Iron Maidens you need to deactivate by standing in front of them and this also damages you.

You cannot step on any signs. Only deactivate Iron Maidens. She spawns 4 total. After deactivating all of them, catch her.

Find money that sometimes spawns around locations. Check every table and chair. I found it 4 times on Church on a barrel in the basement.
