These unlock automatically as you play through the story, you can't miss them.

Recruit the Monteros

Important: Hidden In Plain Sight is the only missable achievement in the game. 

Make sure you don't skip it.

At each of your three main camps, talk to the Foreman to build Facilities. Each camp can have two Facilities, so you need to build all six.

Building and upgrading facilities costs Medicine, Metal, and Gasolina. These resources are scattered around the open world and enemy bases, so always pick them up when you see them.

There are 20 Supply Drop locations. At each, you'll find a Recon Point that triggers a countdown, basically a timed race to the supply chest. Collect 10 of 20 to unlock this.

There are 26 AA Cannon locations. Destroy 16 of them.

There are 26 Military Checkpoint locations. Capture 10.

Return 3 FND Resource vehicles in mint condition

Resource Vehicles are enemy trucks carrying metal, gasoline, or medicine. Steal them from main roads and drive them to a vehicle pickup point. The vehicle must be in "mint" condition, no heavy damage, no smoke. You can repair with the Repair Tool from the weapon wheel. Park it in the spot for 50 resources. Repeat 3 times.

Best spot: Madrugada > Costa Del Mar. Next to the vehicle pickup point, resource trucks come along every minute. After parking, call another vehicle from the panel beside it so the truck disappears. Drive the summoned vehicle away to free up the space.

There are 21 FND Bases. Capture all of them. They also unlock fast travel points and give resources. Do this before finishing the main game, otherwise insurgency will make you recapture some.

Host or join a game and capture a base together.

Combat Achievements

Have poisoned soldiers kill 5 other enemies

This is one of the most annoying achievements. To poison an enemy, use the Fantasma Supremo with the El Besito Resolver weapon. Go to an FND Base or shoot enemies to raise your Heat level. Once soldiers focus on you, use the Fantasma's special to shoot gas canisters. If that doesn't work, use El Besito to poison more. Keep trying until poisoned soldiers kill 5 others.

Take out a soldier from 50m above them

Jump out of an aircraft and parachute down, then shoot a Rocket Launcher at enemies below. Or just use a helicopter to kill them from above.

Security Control Centers are found at some FND Bases, behind locked doors. They look like wall panels. Shooting them won't work, you must press use to interact. Disable all security in the base.

Use any vehicle to run over 10 enemy soldiers. Civilians don't count. Can be done across multiple drives.

EMP devices include: Volta Supremo, EMP Grenades, Zeusito Resolver Weapon, or EMP Bullets on some special weapons. Stop the tank, jump on its roof, and press takedown to hijack.

First, upgrade the Bandidos Barracks camp facility to Level 3. Then buy the Wrist Gear "Techmaster Band" from the barracks. It has the skill "Security Expert" which lets you sabotage alarms by holding use. Equip it, go to an FND Base or Checkpoint, sabotage an alarm, then get spotted and wait for an enemy to use it. They'll die from the explosion.

Take out a shark with an explosion

Self-explanatory. Sharks are all over the ocean. Easiest with a Rocket Launcher. There's a shark hunting spot on the west coast of El Este.

Take out 10 soldiers with active Heat

Heat is the yellow/red bar next to your mini-map. Fill it by being in active combat and killing enemies loudly. You'll know it's active when Castillo's Special Forces are after you. This is cumulative and you'll likely get it naturally.

Distract 10 soldiers with Chorizo

Chorizo is an Amigo that distracts enemies with adorableness. Unlock him by completing the first Montero questline mission in Costa Del Mar.

Find a horse. Ride around until you find an enemy on horseback. Ride alongside them and press takedown.

Take out 10 Special Forces soldiers

Automatic story-related. As you rank up regions, stronger enemies spawn. You'll encounter Special Forces during main quests and have to kill them.

Insurgency unlocks after finishing the game. Each real-life week, one or two provinces get their targets taken back. Recapture them to reveal the Insurgent Leader's location.

Fastest method: Complete the 4 requirements. When the leader spawns, go near the base, then change difficulty in settings to force a manual save. Kill only the Insurgent Leader,do NOT conquer the base or kill all enemies. After killing the leader, do the manual save trick again. Repeat for 3 leaders.

Recruit 5 Amigos

Amigos are animal companions.

Find all rooster collectibles

There are 13 roosters to collect, used in cockfighting. They appear in crates and show on the minimap when nearby. There are also 6 via Ubisoft Connect, but you must find all 13 on the map.

Rides are special vehicles you can call from the weapon wheel. Four total: one from story, one from winning any Gran Premio Cup, one from Yaran story, one from treasure hunt. Check video guides for locations.

These chests require two hidden charts to unlock. Charts are usually nearby, often pointed to by blue arrows. Use a video guide, some are tricky to find.

USB Sticks are hard to spot in the huge open world. Use a video guide for all 15.

Install La Cantina at a faction camp. You start with 5 meals. Fully upgrade the cantina to unlock up to 15 meals. Buying all 15 unlocks the achievement.

There are 7 Supremos:

These are the special "Unique Weapons" with fixed attachments, not just any 49 weapons. There are exactly 49 in the base game. You can get a few more from Deluxe Edition or Ubisoft Connect rewards, but they're not required. Most are found in special crocodile chests around FND areas and treasure hunts. Some come from operations or upgrading your hunting lodge. Hover over missing weapons to see a general location.

Catch 10 fish

Unlock the fishing rod during "Libertad Rises" in the prologue. Fish in any water. Interact with exclamation marks on the minimap for fishing spots. Build the fishing hut at a camp to buy fishing locations. Upgrade your rod for easier catches.

Note: All Special Operation achievements require you to be connected to the game's servers. For Mastery 3 achievements, you must complete the mission on lower difficulties first, so either complete each mission 4 times, or join someone who has already done the lower difficulties and complete Mastery 3 with them.

Special Operations are accessed by talking to Lola at the three main faction camps. There are six operations: four available at start, one after finishing the game, one after completing the Danny Trejo side mission.

Complete Special Operation: Maceo on Mastery 3

Free 30 hostages during a Lola's Informants challenge in any Special Operation

Best on "Maceo" at Mastery 1. Hostages spawn with red flares. Kill enemies around them and untie them. Restart the operation immediately after freeing them, it still counts. 3 spawn per run. Repeat until 30.

Equip the Parkour gear set from Bandido Barracks. Best on "Maceo." Pick up the PG-240X battery in the north-west airbase. Keep it under 50% heat by using water sources and shade. Run from shade to shade. Equip the battery to monitor heat. Stick to the west edge path on the way back.

Each Special Operation has a hidden chest with Moneda. You need to find the key too. Easiest in Mesozoico.

Find three relics through three treasure hunts. Rewards the best stealth gear in the game.

Have 10 parts installed on a Ride

Each ride has 10 customisation slots. 

Unlock parts by:

Gear sets have 5 pieces: head, chest, leg, foot, wrist. Your starting gear doesn't count. Get new gear from Libertad Chests or camp stores.

Slide 200m at once

Press crouch while running to slide. Do it on a downward slope. Keep sliding until you hit 200m.

Unlock Chicharrón by completing the questline starting with "Man's Best Enemy" in Sierra Perdida, El Este. Help the homicidal rooster in 3 quests. Then select him in the Amigo menu, click the bottom-left icon, and choose Motherclucker.

Unlock Guapo during "Juan of a Kind." After defeating the first enemies, approach and pet him. You can pet him anytime after if he's your companion.

Earn XP by playing. You'll likely hit this naturally before finishing the story, depending on how much side content you do.

Resolver Weapons are the special weapons. You get the Tostador early. Buy more for 100 Uranium each. Replace standard mods with more powerful ones at a workbench.

There are 5 Mythical Animals. Fully upgrade the Hunter's Lodge to mark them on your map. Track progress under Inventory > Tradables > Gear. Each animal drops a unique item.

Unlocked when you get your first guerrilla camp. These are passive missions, send your Bandido leaders and recruits. They take real time. Complete 5.

Play Dominoes at the Legends camp in El Este. Play on easy difficulty to make winning easier.

Gran Premios are checkpoint races. Not difficult.

Available at Montero camp in Costa Del Mar. Win 2 out of 3 rounds. Simple attacks.
