๐ Description
Ghost Squad is a fast, actionpacked 3D arcade shooter that throws you straight into a war against an army of deadly AI machines. A surprise attack has unleashed hordes of Warbots across military and industrial zones, and as a member of the elite Ghost Squad, your mission is brutally simple: enter the battlefield, destroy every Warbot, and take back the world.
The core gameplay is pure wavebased arcade action. You fight through dangerous zones filled with hostile AI machines, using explosive weapons and special powerups to survive intense encounters. You can choose from eight unique Ghost Squad soldiers Shreder, Venom, Mamba, Storm, Ryder, Raven, Bullet, and Scarlet each with their own style and firepower. As you battle, you'll collect powerful boosts and unleash devastating abilities like shields, EMP rockets, ghost mode, and laser blasts. Every mission is a highenergy fight for survival, and the short, replayable structure makes it perfect for quick action sessions when you just want to jump in, blow things up, and jump out.
What makes it stand out is its commitment to pure, nononsense arcade fun. It's a singleplayer experience with colorful 3D visuals, explosive effects, and a driving soundtrack that keeps the adrenaline pumping. The AI Warbots have advanced attack patterns, so you can't just mindlessly run and gun you have to learn their behavior, dodge their fire, and time your abilities to turn the tide of battle. It's the kind of game that doesn't try to be a deep tactical shooter or a storydriven epic; it just wants to give you a satisfying, explosive power fantasy for however long you want to play.
It was developed and published, a small indie team, and released on July 30, 2026. The system requirements are mercifully low: Windows 10 or later, an Intel Core i3, 4 GB RAM, and Intel HD Graphics 4000 at minimum. The recommended specs bump that up to an i5, 8 GB RAM, and an NVIDIA GTX 660 or AMD equivalent. You'll only need 500 MB of storage space, so it'll run on basically any computer made in the last decade.
It's worth being honest about the reception. The game is very new and currently has only 4 user reviews on Steam, so there's no real consensus yet on how it plays longterm. An aggregator site lists the community rating at around 50/100, describing it as a "largely mixed" reception overall. There's also a free demo available on Steam if you want to try before.
Who's it for?
If you grew up on arcade shooters and wavebased combat games, this is exactly your kind of brainless, satisfying fun. If you want something you can pick up for ten minutes, blast a few robots, and put down without any commitment, the short, replayable missions deliver that. It's also for players who appreciate colorful, explosive 3D visuals and don't need a deep story to enjoy a good shooter. And if you just want a cheap, selfcontained arcade experience with a free demo to try first, it's an easy recommendation at the price of a coffee.
If the game has tickled your fancy, may you win!
