Card Miner

๐Ÿ ENDED

๐Ÿ“ Description

Card Miner is a card collector game where you collect anthropomorphic monster gals as cards. Each one has unique information, including stats, likes, dislikes, and abilities. If you've ever wanted to collect a bunch of monstergirls as collectible trading cards, this is exactly that and it doesn't pretend to be anything else.

The Core Gameplay

The loop is almost aggressively simple: there's a big card on the left, you click it, and you pull from an infinite deck. That's it. You click, you collect, and you try to gather every single one. There's a catch, though a potential negative card can appear, so you have to collect them before you lose some of your points or your collection. You can also buy cards with points using the buy button in the upperright, but you can only buy duplicates of cards you've already pulled. Why would you want duplicates? Because duplicates give you more points, which means more draws per click. Or, if you're a completionist, because you're trying to collect 100 of every type.

Battle Mode and Progression

On top of the clicker loop, there's a Battle Mode which is kind of like Poker, but different. You can stake cards against NPCs, including Bosses, which adds a layer of risk and strategy to what would otherwise be a pure clicking experience. It's not deep, but it gives you something to do with all those duplicates beyond hoarding them.

The progression is entirely built around collection. You're not just trying to pull every card once you're chasing 100 copies of each type if you're a true completionist. The points economy feeds back into the clicking loop, and the Battle Mode gives you an outlet for all the extras you accumulate along the way.

Content and Presentation

The game includes some mature content that appears randomly. At least one card is shown smoking tobacco, at least one card has references to alcohol, and at least one card is depicted in revealing clothing, though not sexualized. There's no way to know when these cards will show up because they appear randomly.

The developer is transparent about AI usage: the Battle framework was created with AI assistance, and some card arts were AIcreated with manual human editing. You can toggle between humanmade and AImade art in the settings.

Reception and Community

The game is extremely niche and has not found a wide audience. On Steam, it currently has only a handful of user reviews, with community aggregators listing it at 100% positive based on 3 user reviews far too small a sample to draw any broad conclusions from. One analytics site shows a Player Score of 100/100 based on those 3 reviews, while another lists it at 0/10 based on 2 reviews, highlighting how meaningless these numbers are when the sample size is this tiny.

One player reportedly logged 140 hours in the game, which for a clicker is either a sign of genuine addiction or a cry for help. The game has an estimated 8 followers on Steam, making it one of the most obscure titles on the platform. It has slipped completely under the radar, and anyone who picks it up would be discovering it entirely on their own.

System Requirements

Minimum: Windows 10, an Intel Core i56400 @ 2.70GHz, 16 GB RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, DirectX 10, and 1 GB of storage space. NVIDIA High Definition Audio is listed for sound.

That's a surprisingly steep requirement for a clicker game you'll need a dedicated GPU with 6GB of VRAM just to pull cards from a digital deck. It's not going to run on a potato, so keep that in mind before you enter.

Who Is This Game For?

If you like clicker games and have a soft spot for monstergirl aesthetics, this is an easy recommendation. If you enjoy collecting things cards, characters, achievements, whatever the completionist loop of pulling every single card and chasing 100 copies of each will scratch that itch. It's also for players who like supporting solo developers and don't mind a game that's rough around the edges and a little weird. And if you just want a cheap, mindless game you can click on while watching something else, this one has your name on it.

If the game happens to draw you in, best of luck claiming the win!
