๐ Description
Formilion is a top-down arcade blood shooter about searching for a missing person. You unravel the cause of a disappearance and go through a challenging journey uncovering the mysteries of a small planet. You kill enemies with 4 types of weapons, get into different situations, and adapt to the battle conditions. To pass through the crowds of enemies, you have to be attentive and show high reaction speed. Advance through residential neighbourhoods, dangerous manufactories, frightening dungeons and secret laboratories. In each of these places you have to prepare tactics to overcome the obstacles in your way. You can make your own playlist and enter the battle. You pass easy levels that do not require special skills, as well as overcome challenges where you show your high skill. And all this to the original musical accompaniment. The game features an unusual gaming experience, an original soundtrack, a mysterious plot, one interesting puzzle, and it was made with love. Play time is approximately 1โ2 hours.
Reception and Community
The game has been met with a mixed reception on Steam, holding a 1 user review at the time of writing, which is far too small a sample to draw any broad conclusions from. A Steam curator from Archy Recommends This One compared it to Hotline Miami, noting that it's a surprisingly decent imitation, though it lacks style and level readability but that once you start selecting tracks, the intensity picks up. A detailed review from United Critics gave it a 6/10, praising the variety of soundtracks and the option to create a playlist as a standout feature, while criticizing the confusing level shuffling after each death, the lack of explanation for what is happening, and the punishing one-hit-death mechanics that make the game extremely difficult. They noted that the gameplay is challenging and strange, the visuals are adequate but not special, and that while the game offers a mysterious plot and cut-scenes, the story is difficult to follow. Their verdict: if you're a fan of tough gameplay, it's worth picking up, but casual gamers might want to skip it. The community is extremely small, and anyone who picks it up now would be discovering it before almost everyone else.

Who Is This Game For?
If you love top-down arcade shooters like Hotline Miami but want something with a darker, more mysterious atmosphere and a challenging difficulty curve, this is exactly your kind of game. If you enjoy the loop of dying repeatedly, learning enemy patterns, and slowly pushing further through a hostile world, the one-hit-death mechanics and escalating difficulty will keep you engaged. It's also for players who appreciate a game with an original soundtrack and the option to customize your own playlist, which reviewers consistently highlight as one of its strongest features. And if you just want a short, intense, punishing shooter you can finish in an hour or two and don't mind a confusing story and rough visuals, this one has your name on it.
If the game manages to become interesting to you, may you come out on top!
