📝 Description
挂姬恶魔 IDLE DEVILS is a leisure strategic placement game that mixes idle mechanics with Diablo style loot grinding. You play as a demon king candidate who must reseal the seven hells, and along the way you recruit and cultivate a squad of female demons to fight by your side. The hook is simple: watch your power grow every moment, even when you're not actively playing.
The story begins 200 years after the Demon King sealed the infected in each hell with the Staff of Stars. The seal broke, the Demon King was swallowed by the miasma, and the Demon World fell into chaos again. Now a new king must be chosen, whoever can seal the seven hells once more. You start with one of three initial demons, build your team through combat, and gradually expand your power until you become the true Demon King.
What makes it stand out is the sheer amount of content. There are 10 playable characters, 220 skills, 180 talents, over 400 equipment pieces, and more than 200 equipment affixes. The equipment system is deep, gear drops from enemies, scales in quality based on stage level and treasure hunt value, and higher quality items roll more affixes, including exclusive ones. You can buy gear from the tavern, gamble on random equipment, socket gems, and experiment with builds freely since skill and talent points can be refunded at no cost.
The gameplay loop is classic tower climbing: auto battle through floors, collect loot, upgrade your demons, and push into the next hell. The early game is smooth, you start with Sylvia, a shield-type demon who can solo the first hell, then recruit Beelzebub, an assassin with lifesteal and evasion, and the difficulty curve stays satisfying. Auto battle, double speed, auto dialogue, and auto advance all unlock progressively, so the first half hour requires some manual input before it becomes a true idle experience.
It also has a nice sense of progression. The Demon World itself is a place to build up, the tavern, gem merchant, and alchemy room all give you things to do between battles. The Demon King's Tower offers higher challenges with unique rewards and hints about the source of the miasma. You can even capture special bosses and recruit them, though some are "terminally ill" and can only be eliminated.
It was developed by a small studio that previously experimented with blending idle gameplay and Diablo style looting. The game launched on January 30, 2024, and currently sits at 82% positive, a "Very Positive" rating on Steam. Recent reviews are more mixed at 50%, but the overall reception has been strong.
Who's it for?
If you like idle games that actually give you something to think about builds, gear optimization, team composition, this is for you. If you enjoy Diablo style loot grinding but want something you can leave running in the background, this scratches that itch. It's also for players who appreciate a large roster of characters with distinct skills and talents to experiment with, and who don't mind a game that leans into fanservice with its female demon designs. And if you just want a relaxing idle RPG that doesn't demand constant attention but still rewards you for checking in, this one's got you covered.
If the game has piqued your interest enough to play, good luck taking the victory!
Thanks!
