A game that is a masterpiece
Now that I've sunk an unhealthy amount of time into this game so early on, I think it's about time I shared my experience so far.

The amount of updates and fixes since launch has been genuinely great to see. The devs actually seem to be listening to the community, taking on feedback, and making real changes. Huge W for the team.

This game reminded me a lot of how I felt when Skyrim first came out, that overwhelming sense of scale and content. But honestly? This was that feeling times a hundred. The map is absolutely stunning, filled with unique places to explore, and it actually feels alive. I lose hours just wandering around, trying to clear the fog, I was actually anti bell ringer for the first 100 hours because I wanted to see exactly where I'd explored. The enemy density in uncleared areas is insane, and yet the game runs buttery smooth on my PC even with 50+ entities around me. And as you travel, you'll encounter hundreds of different animal species. It really pulls you into the world. You can examine every type of animal, bug, fish, rock, and even enemy, the game practically begs you to interact with everything. For reference, there are over 400 different creatures in the game.

I wasn't a huge fan of the combat at first, but as you unlock more moves and learn to chain them together, it quickly became one of my favourite combat experiences in gaming. The sheer amount of armour, weapons, and jewellery available is overwhelming. Ignore the guides and just use what you like. The difference between a fully upgraded meta weapon and a fully upgraded everyday weapon is so minimal that you can truly just play your way and customise later. I highly recommend upgrading the Greymane camp and doing their missions as they become available. It unlocks a ton of content, and a fully upgraded camp makes a massive difference. I didn't mess with the house near camp much, except for personal treasure storage.

This game is beautiful, challenging, and continues to blow my mind every time I venture into a new area. I often stop at vantage points just to take screenshots. The story is great if you actually follow it, a solid plot that has you rooting for the Greymanes. Some side missions are a bit lacklustre, but which game doesn't have that? It's a bit of a grind. I'm talking about the fetch and grab quests, but they're worth doing. Complete each area as much as you can before moving on, because there are important things hidden in side quests, not to mention the constant inventory expansions. As you progress the story, new content is added steadily, giving you new ways to traverse the world and take down enemies. I'll admit, I had to look up a guide for more than a few puzzles, but at least I tried first! Make sure to search everywhere, treasure chests are hidden in all sorts of hard to reach spots. Honestly, I don't really have anything bad to say about this game. Any issues at launch were patched within days.

I could go on forever about how much I enjoy this game. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who's even slightly interested. It runs great on my PC at max cinematic settings. I've now put over 100 hours into it, and I still have about 50% of the map left to explore. I tried to cover everything I could in this review, because I genuinely want everyone to experience this game for themselves.
