I was worried at first that if I bought the game I might feel sorry about it.My mom, who always makes sense said: "What's the worst that could happen? You spend £30. We probably spend that much every day as a three person family on things like electricity, gas and food anyway". Really she was right. So I decided to go and buy it.
Before I bought it I did a lot of checking. I read comments, watched people play and talk about the game after it came out and spent two hours learning as much as I could before I finally bought it.
I play on a laptop that's five years old so its not a very strong computer. I turned the graphics down low as I could to try to stop the game from freezing or crashing. Even though the longer I play the more bugs and slow moments I notice I think that's more because of my old laptop than the game itself.
What I like the most is how you can change the Paras. One of my problems with The Sims 4 is spending a lot of time in Create a Sim trying to get the faces just right. I always end up with a jaw that looks too small or just not right. If you have played with generations of Sims you know exactly what I mean. I like to get things right but with Paralives I haven't had that problem at all. All the random Paras I have met far are really nice to look at.
I haven't tried the detailed options for makeup and hair yet but I really like the colour wheel. You can pick from set colours. Make your own, which gives a lot more choice for playing the way you want.
The height feature? That is amazing. I play The Sims 4 on a console so I don't usually download stuff, having height sliders right in the game is a really good idea.
I have also seen some comments from people who seem to think the game should be completely ready. I haven't followed Paralives much as others but as someone who has played The Sims 4 for about eight years I didn't have strict ideas, just a little bit of doubt. The game is still, in access and I think some people forget that. I am really excited to see how the game changes with updates.
