Games that achieve an average score of around 98% don't usually do that by accident and The Witcher 3 is the perfect proof of that. Everything just clicks: the atmosphere, the visuals, the voice acting, the soundtrack, the sheer scale of the world, the way the story is told. It's simply top tier craftsmanship. I've been playing the same save file for almost 150 hours now, and I still haven't finished the main storyline, let alone all the side quests from the base game. Where else these days do you get so much content for your money?
Sure, there are a few minor technical hiccups or small flaws here and there, but when we're talking about the Game of the Year Edition, which you can grab during holiday sales for a small amount. That's an absolute steal.
If you're still on the fence about playing it, don't hesitate for a second. Just one piece of advice: make sure to install mods that improve the graphics and gameplay because it is an old game. It doesn't tax your PC as much as you might expect.
I'm not really an RPG fan but this game simply deserves a solid 9.5/10 from me.
