On the surface, this is a top down shooter with very simple pixel graphics, but don't let that fool you. The gunplay, sound design, and overall gameplay feel surprisingly modern. Imagine mixing Tarkov and STALKER, throwing in procedurally generated maps so no two runs are ever the same, and you're starting to get the picture. The gun customisation, ammo types, and mechanical depth are genuinely impressive, and every run tells a completely different story.
You might revisit the same map, but the layout changes, the extraction zone is miles away, you're low on ammo, overencumbered, and then you get ambushed by a camper named Arman. Or maybe you have the perfect run, you successfully ambush some bandits and hunters, loot some incredible gear, and make your way to extraction only to get sniped by that same guy. Arman. Always Arman.
Really, this game is a blast. No two runs feel the same, so you always walk away with a new story to tell. You might kill a boss in the mall and escape with valuable loot, win a prolonged firefight against Watchers, accidentally shoot some Green Army soldiers and start a war you didn't mean to, get mauled by boars, or get ambushed by a hunter in a green suit with a VSS Vintorez named Arman.
If you enjoy the Tarkov loop but don't want the sweat, and you appreciate STALKER's atmosphere and a solid dose of gun customisation depth, this is absolutely the game for you. Highly recommended.
There's also a sizeable modding community, so there's plenty of extra content to tinker with.
