An enjoyable game with a horde of zombies
It's a solid open world game that works well whether you're flying solo or dragging a friend along for the ride. It sits somewhere between a Borderlands style and a horde survival game, with some fun twists thrown in, most notably the parkour movement system. It's mostly functional, easy to pick up, and quick to understand, though you'll definitely still have those moments where you bounce off a wall you were sure you'd grab onto. And once you unlock the grappling hook? Well, all that careful parkour goes slightly out the window, but it's fun.
The melee combat is pretty satisfying and feels weighty, while the guns are there too. They're not terrible to use, but the human fight segments where you're expected to rely on them tend to drag a bit and feel tedious compared to the zombie-slaying action.
All in all, it's a perfectly serviceable game. You'll get about thirty hours out of it if you're grinding through sidequests, and there's nothing truly awful about it. If you've got a friend or two willing to stick it out with you, you're going to have a really good time.
