My experience after 4 years
Four years. That's how long it took me to finally sit down with this one. Life, work, the usual excuses. I'd heard all the launch horror stories, watched the memes, read the think pieces. By the time I actually booted it up, I figured I'd either be witnessing a trainwreck or a redemption arc.

Turns out, I accidentally timed it perfectly.

World:
Everyone says this, and they're all right. It's a place you live in for a while. Third or fourth night after the prologue, I'm walking down this rainy street, and the city just breathes. Umbrellas pop open like neon flowers, wet asphalt turns into a mirror, and then I catch it - "I Really Want to Stay at Your House" bleeding out of someone's radio. I swapped to my own station, and for a few minutes, I wasn't sitting in my room anymore. I was there. The expansion has its rough patches, but that party scene with the performer? I actually found myself weaving through the crowd for a better angle like a real person. Chef's kiss moments everywhere.

Story:
Top-tier. Honestly, it embarrasses most AAA storytelling from the last five years. I was locked in the whole way through. Characters have actual flaws, actual motivations, and they act like real people pursuing real goals, which sounds like basic writing until you remember how rare that is these days. And V? Dialogue options never let me down. Almost always had the right tone available. Some genuinely branching paths too . The kind that actually make a second playthrough tempting.

Combat:
It works. Sometimes it even sings, especially right after you unlock a new ability and everything clicks. Played on normal, kinda wish I'd cranked it up. Combat's not bad by any stretch, but if I had to pick a weakest link, this would be it. That's how strong everything else is.

Non-combat:
Driving feels right. Movement flows. The hacking minigame is actually tolerable. Brain dances are a blast, even if they hold your hand a bit. Conversations start and end without that awkward jank you usually get. Money economy? Balanced. Never swimming in it, never starving. Crafting is there if you want it, ignorable if you don't. Respects both playstyles.

Bugs:
I know this game was infamous for this. But I played in December 2024, right after v2.2 dropped. Over 100+ hours, I saw three NPC clipping oddities, some cars phasing through stuff during cutscenes and one floating object that made me do a double-take. The most common thing, maybe a dozen times total, was stacked clutter  jostling when I entered a room. For a game this massive and complex, that's borderline miraculous.

Performance:
Buttery smooth on medium settings with my modest 2023 PC. Only hitch was some micro stutter when blasting through the city at 180+ MPH, maybe every 45 seconds. Zero crashes. Zero. In 2024. For a game that once made headlines for its instability.

Monetization:
None. Not a single microtransaction, no storefront begging, no battle passes. Just a complete product. CDPR, thank you for not being like the rest of the industry.
✅ Плюсы:
  • A vibrant game world
  • A better story than in modern games
  • Characters that fit the game's atmosphere
  • No microtransactions
❌ Минусы:
  • Undemanding fight
  • Rare bugs and freezes
  • Endings hit hard
