Okay, so I went into Dispatch with pretty low expectations. Superhero stuff isn't really my thing, but I figured I'd give it a shot. Big mistake? Nope, it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made this year. What I thought was going to be a chill little adventure ended up completely wrecking me in the best way possible. I found myself caring about their stupid decisions and cheering for them during their quiet victories. It's rare for a game to make me feel that connected to a group of fictional characters.
The emotional range of this game is honestly wild. It bounces between pure chaos and genuine tenderness so smoothly that it never feels jarring. It's like the game knows exactly when you need a laugh and when you need a moment to just breathe and feel.
By the time the credits rolled, my eyes were a little wet, and I had that warm, fuzzy feeling you get when you've just experienced something truly special. I wasn't expecting to love it this much, but Dispatch earned every bit of that affection.
