a relaxing game after a hard day
It's incredibly addictive, yet somehow oddly calming at the same time. You just sit there quietly assigning workers, but don't let that fool you, it's not an easy game. You actually have to plan ahead and think about how to arrange things so the next wave doesn't wipe you out.
The visuals are nice, the music is great, and there's enough variety to keep you busy for dozens of hours. I haven't even tried the paid DLC yet, and I'm sure it'll make the experience even better.
The downsides? Getting ahead can be a bit of a grind, and Steam Deck’s settings and controls aren’t perfect. But playing it on Steam Deck is an absolute joy thanks to the clunky controls. You come away from a session energized, not drained. Not many games can pull that off.
✅ Pros:
- Super addictive
- Nice visuals
- Enough variety to keep you playing
- DLC adds more content
- Pure joy on Steam Deck
- Leaves you feeling rested
❌ Cons:
- Progression is a bit tedious
- Settings and controls on Steam Deck aren't perfect
